What’s This All About?

Safer Huntington is a personal project of mine to help aggregate ways we can each, as citizens, help make Huntington a safer and more prosperous city.  As time goes by this site will include options for reporting graffiti, identifying deadbeat landlords, recording suspicious activity in your neighborhood, and rally support for your neighborhood association or neighborhood watch.  I’m not sure how I’m going to do all of that yet but stay tuned and hopefully I’ll have some very cool tools for us all to use in the near future.

    One thing that comes to mind (and dovetails with your neighborhood watch) is reporting when things happen in our neighborhoods, e.g., car vandalism, burglary, etc. Maybe we can get someone from HPD interested in checking the site weekly…

    If I can get someone to check it weekly then I can probably have
    reports auto-matically sent to them so they don’t have to check the
    site.
